Saturday 6th March - Nirvana or what? By returning to Markbeech today the intrepid six - Ron Castle, Danny Eagles, John Ropkins, Steve Birkin and Chris Simms led by Peter Hayes - "enjoyed" another rush up Ide Hill - Ide Hill twice in three days! His lordship turned off at Clacket Lane on the way out as he had a date to keep in Brighton. Our Club Captain managed elevenses but had to get on home to make lunch for his patient. Hope you are feeling better Barbara.

Sunday 7th March - Despite the temperature and the bitter east wind, there were 19 out today. Janet  and Jenny  proudly showed off their new bikes at Speedgate. Janet had, with Peter Foulsham, been witness to an incident on the A20 - where a car that had indicated left didn't mean it. After all this excitement it was a relief to ride in a calm and collected way to Lullingstone for lunch.

Wednesday 10th March - We're meeting at Coolings Garden Centre on Rushmore Hill  for elevenses and then we're all off to Warlingham. The Cs are lunching at Knights Garden Centre (just up the road from Sainsbury, Eric) and the rest at The Horseshoe. Not much susnshine today, but who cares - we're out on the open road!
